MAKE – RETURE WORKSHOP WITH 4649.REC

Sunday, September 26th 11.00am – 12.30pm
The Lab E20

Repair your clothes with a Japanese twist! Bring an old garment of your choice from your wardrobe and rejuvenate it with vintage Japanese kimono fabric scraps from our production process. Together we’ll give your preloved favourite a new life with a hint of Japanese tradition.

Kimonos are garments for special occasions, each carrying cultural significance in Japan. Just like the family histories behind each kimono garment, each piece is unique and precious.

4649.REC is a sustainable brand focusing on recycling vintage family kimonos into modern streetwear. In Japanese, 4649 (pronounced ‘Yo ro shi ku’) means “Nice to meet you”. Just like the brand name suggests, 4649.REC exists to reconnect the stories in each kimono fabric through every piece, making you a part of their story.
